A very nice watch.I also have the blue one that gets many compliments. I like the extra feature of having the compass plus for $5 Timex makes it a 5 year warranty. The only drawback is the white lettering on the black(N/S/E/W)around the watch is wearing out quickly but it is in a groove so I've dabbed a little paint in the groves so you can see the letters again.
A must-have for boaters June 30, 2008 Jupp Norhausen 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I was extremely please with the watch. It works astonishing well, is reasonable priced (ok, you can spent $4,000.- more for a European crappy looking watch, if you don't know what else to do with your money).
The backlight feature is great, and so is the compass. I don't use the temperature display much, because you have to take the watch off your wrist to get a more accurate reading. And I do not want to part with my watch, if only for a moment.
Don't buy the watch if you have small wrists, because this is a real man's watch....
# T45781 March 8, 2010 M. Akana (Seattle, WA) Love the watch! Once you learn how to use all of these unique features it is great, not to mention that it is a great looking watch too!
Timex--takes a licking and keeps on ticking...Only watch with tide, temp, and compass April 27, 2010 KRD (Everywhere!) This is the only watch with tide, temperature, and compass functions out there. It is large: it's fatter on the wrist than 4 stacked silver dollars. Its links have screws on either side, so to adjust them you need 2 small jeweler's screwdrivers. One to hold it in place, and the other to unscrew the link screw on the other end. This is most easily accomplished in a small hobby vise with an old rag or two for protecting it from scratches.
Back to the watch itself--it is a little tricky to get it to work, especially the compass. But, like a lot of things in life, if you read the directions AND try it yourself, it's not impossible! I love being able to tell when tides are coming and going, let alone high and low tide indications. The compass is accurate in the right (non-electrical interference) environment. It is a smart and stylish watch that will get many positive comments. Now, as far as temparature readings go, why wouldn't any thermometer on your wrist give a false (i.e. body temparature) reading? So, don't fault it for that! Remember it gives you water temperature, too, which should be more accurate (REMEMBER not to touch the buttons underwater and void your warranty!) as the cooling effect will impact your skin as well.
Get it...where else can you find one that offers all this, and a $5 upgraded (5 year) warranty?

So far i haven't had any problems with the watch. It has indeglo with is a nice feature. Also, the compass makes this watch unique and it really works. The large, white face makes it easy to read.
