It features a large, round silver stainless steel watch case with flattened, brushed bezel that frames a white dial background with Arabic numerals, inset 24-hour notations in red, large, luminous stick hands (with seconds hand), and a date display at 3 o'clock. With the Quick Date function, you can set the date on the watch without turning the crown for every 24-hour period. Just pull the stem halfway out, and turn until desired date is reached. It also offers an 8-year battery life, water resistance to 50 meters (165 feet), and a genuine leather strap in brown. The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer.

Great watch for agreat price.I was my hands frequently, so water resistant is good option for me. I also work nights so having the Indiglo is a great perk. I have a previous Timex and I was pleased with it, I expect I will get many good years with this one.

This watch is similar to the Eddie Bauer Field Watch for $89.00 plus tax and shipping. I have a small wrist and this fits very well. I am a Timex fan.

I had a previous Expedition watch that lasted many years and served me well. I purchased this new version and so far haven't been disappointed. If you're looking for a basic watch that tells time and has a backlight, I don't think you can go wrong for the money.

This watch, years after its initial release, continues to be a classic.
The Band:
It sports a leather band. While this does not ingratiate Timex with PETA it does keep the time piece from becoming identified as something from a particular part of the 21st century. (Remember the watches with the oh-so-cool thin pieces of rubber that worked as a band. And then there are the Velcro-based sports watches.)
The Face
The face of the watch looks stylishly antiquated... like something Indiana Jones might sport. It is clean and easy to read in any setting. Furthermore, when the indiglo is activated it comes across really well.
The Flaw
The glass face is not easily scratched but would benefit from some type of guard. Without some protection the more active wearer will eventually vitiate the beauty with scratches.
The Future
It would be good to see Timex release this watch with a little more variation in the color of the face. Suggested colors (with hexadecimal values) follow
